    Biography:
    I am Angela Campbell. I am married with two daughters and have a one-year-old grandson. I was a teacher for many years; I am now a lecturer in English at Northumbria University, working with students who wish to become teachers. I am also involved with schools across Newcastle where I support staff with literacy development. My prime interest is reading, both in helping children to become efficient, keen readers and as my own favourite hobby.

    Biography:
    I'm Peter Carter and I am the Vice-Chair of the Local Governing Committee.
    I've been involved with the Governing Body of West Walker School for around 15 years.
    I have lived in the East End of the city all of my life and I find that being a school governor is a really enjoyable and fulfilling way of being involved in the local community and helping to support the education and future prospects of the young people in the area.

    Biography:
    Hi my name is Carly Dobson I currently work for Barnardos. I have been a Governor at West Walker Primary School since 2017. I am passionate about ensuring we listen to the pupils within the School and ensure their voices influences our decisions. I have worked in the East of Newcastle for the last 16 years and while at College did a placement project at West Walker Primary School. On a weekend I enjoy walking our dog Stan and spending time with family and Friends.

    Biography:
    I have been Headteacher at West Walker Primary School since 2005. I started teaching in 1982 and worked as a teacher and Deputy Headteacher in several schools across N. Tyneside before moving to Walker. Between 2003 and 2006 I also worked part-time as a lecturer in Primary Maths at Northumbria University. I enjoy music, seaside walks and afternoon tea! I love working with the children, staff and whole community at West Walker Primary School and thoroughly enjoy being part of the NEAT team. Together we strive for a happy, vibrant and successful school.

    Biography:
    I am 46 and live with my partner and our 2 children. I wanted to get involved with the school because although I have no formal qualifications when it comes to education, I am passionate about making sure our children get the best education they can.
    I enjoy my role as Chair as I get to see the amazing work the school does for our children and I get to interact with lots of different people connected with the school, who like me are all passionate about making our school a great place for the children.

    Biography:
    I am a communications and marketing professional, previously from the North West before moving to Newcastle 10 years ago. I work for Teach First as their Digital Community Manager where I work with our ambassador community to showcase the great work being done across the UK and abroad to tackle educational inequality. I wanted to join the governing body at West Walker as I'm a firm believer that a great education is what every child deserve and am delighted to be working with a team who share this goal.

    Biography:
    I am currently employed at Benfield School as an Assistant Headteacher for Curriculum and KS4 outcomes. I work with Curriculum Leaders and the Senior Leadership Team to ensure our curriculum is broad and balanced and any interventions are timely and impactful leading to improved outcomes at GCSE.
    I really enjoy being a governor at West Walker as it gives me a greater understanding of the issues affecting younger learners as well as see the fantastic work that the school does to support the children. I am in awe of their boundless enthusiasm to ensuring West Walker is a brilliant place for our children.
